About the Author
Nathalie Agius
Physiotherapist
Nathalie Agius is a physiotherapist with experience in helping people manage musculoskeletal conditions, including knee pain and OA.Through clinical practice, she has seen how knee OA can affect much more than the knee itself. Pain and uncertainty can influence walking, exercise, work, hobbies and confidence in everyday movement. Conflicting information about OA can also leave people unsure about what they should—or should not—be doing.
This workbook was created to provide a clear, practical and evidence-informed approach
to managing knee OA. It brings together education, progressive exercise,
symptom-management strategies, goal setting and practical tools that readers can use in
everyday life. The aim is not to provide a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, it is to help
people better understand their knee, make informed decisions about activity and exercise,
gradually build their physical capacity, and develop the confidence and skills needed to
manage their knee over the long term.
